LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA

For cancer survivors

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA helps cancer survivors on their healing journey toward recovery. We offer adults affected by cancer a safe, supportive environment to participate in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.

This free 12-week program uses traditional exercise methods to ease the survivor back into fitness and help maintain a healthy lifestyle by:

  • Building muscle mass and strength
  • Increasing flexibility and endurance
  • Improving confidence and self-esteem

Just as important, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA provides individuals with a warm spirit of community—a safe, comfortable place to build companionship with others affected by cancer and opportunities to share stories and inspiration. Contact Keisha Lockhart at (641) 752-8658, ext. 224 for more information.
