Fit Kids Afterschool

At the Y and Woodbury Elementary

STATE LICENSED SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE

FIT KIDS (after school care)
K-12 years

The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA has designed an after school program that will teach children healthy lifestyle habits early. Each day will be broken down into three parts: snack time, activity time and craft/homework/reading time. Participants are offered time to get homework help and study time as well as reading time. A healthy snack will be provided each day. The Fit Kids program uses the Healthy Eating and Physical Activity standards provided by the YMCA of the USA. Each month lessons will focus on a different Y core value and how to apply to daily living. Those registered for Fit Kids are able to take the bus from any school in Marshalltown. Parents need to pick up children no later than 5:30 p.m. each day.
