The Y has converted the former H.I.I.T. Room on the second floor into a Powerlifting Room. This space is now open for members to use on their own or with any of the programs listed below.

Intro to Powerlifting Clinic - FREE
Powerlifting is a weight lifting sport for people of a variety of ages and ability levels. Powerlifters aim to lift as much weight as possible with proper technique in a controlled manner. These free Powerlifting Clinics will briefly introduce members to the three powerlifting lifts: squat, bench press and deadlift; familiarize members with the equipment in the Powerlifting Room, and explain ways to get involved in powerlifting programming.
Powerlifting Instruction and Small Group Training
Unleash the power inside of you with full Powerlifting Training and Powerlifting Specialty Training. Develop full-body strength and increase lean body mass, bone density, and confidence with safe lifting techniques! Y instructor, Curt Shaver, will teach simple techniques most anyone can do. Powerlifting Class will focus on the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Powerlifting Specialty Classes will focus on only the lift specified.
POWERLIFTING CLASS - 10 WEEK PROGRAM. Cost: $400 members, $500 program members

BENCH PRESS SPECIALTY CLASS - 4 WEEK PROGRAM. Cost: $100 members, $150 program members

DEADLIFT SPECIALTY CLASS - 4 WEEK PROGRAM. Cost: $100 members, $150 program members
Tuesday 10:30-11:30am beginning May 1
SQUAT SPECIALTY CLASS - 4 WEEK PROGRAM. Cost: $100 members, $150 program members
Thursday 5:30-6:30pm beginning April 5

Women and Weights
Strength Training Class for Women
Participants can expect to learn proper form and techniques for using both free weights and weight machines. A variety of exercises will be introduced to challenge the whole body.
This class takes participants on a journey to the next level. A 3-day routine that is designed to be used with active recovery built right into it. New exercises leave participants with a variety of options that work best for each person.
Participants can expect to see improvements in just 8 weeks.
