In response to demand from members, the Marshalltown Y has opened CrossFit 641 in the Cultural Center Building ("Old Y").

Wherever you’re at physically, CrossFit can work for you.
When you join CrossFit 641, you'll be part of a community that encourages and supports one another. Credentialed coaches will guide you to success based on your ability level. Foundations classes are also provided to those new to CrossFit or needing additional guidance.
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that utilizes constantly varied, functional movements executed at a high intensity. It’s a combination of aerobic exercise, interval training, weightlifting, calisthenics and other exercises facilitated by CrossFit trainers.
There are currently six Level 1 trainers at CrossFit 641. Shown below are L1 trainers Tabitha Goodrich and Curt Shaver inside the new CrossFit 641 space.
Cost: $50/month for Y members / $105/month for program members*
*Soft opening in November fees: $25 Y members / $52.50 program members

What to Expect
The CrossFit 641 space offers an extensive selection of equipment that will accommodate a variety of WODs. Equipment includes a 44' Rig, 8 bikes, 8 row machines, Ski Erg, kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, a sled and more.
Sessions may fill up. Participants can reserve a spot in advance. Foundations classes available to those new to CrossFit or needing additional guidance.
Regardless of your current fitness ability and understanding, be ready to:
- learn something new
- have a challenging, yet short and efficient workout that is appropriate for all fitness levels
- gain confidence in yourself and your ability to exercise
- reach limits you never thought imaginable
- find a common bond among a community of individuals that understand the importance of hard work and commitment
